Tip of the week: How to paint small items without getting all your fingers inked!

Hello My painter friends:

It's being a while since I have not shared one of my "tips of the week"...
so here we go...this one is a simple but effective one...for all the painters out there!!!

How to paint small items
without getting all your fingers inked?

Place a double sided tape on your mat, adhere the items on top of this (see orange arrows) take a brush and PAINT !!
It's that simple....
Now I do not get my fingers all inked.
I leave the item there to dry and voilà!

Note: this tip can work with any other medium that you wish to use such as: ink pads, inked sponge daubers; misters, colored embossing pastes, dye or pigments re-inkers etc etc...anything that you want to color

tip of the week how to paint small items without getting inked

I used "DecoArt Americana" acrylic paints to paint these items...because these will go into my much anticipated  " Wood Halloween House"...
I will soon have it all ready to show it to you!...
You do not want to missed it,  it is really stinking cute!!!....
