Holy week: Bookmark for Palm Sunday

Hi My friends:

Celebrating this special week, Holy week with some projects...

I made this bookmark all in shades of green
from the lightest to the darkest...

with a leaf very similar to palms...
to commemorate yesterdays' Palm Sunday...

and very tiny dragonflies

I place acetate paper in the front to cover and protect the dies...

and framed it with gold "washi tape"

Snowflake Fall Background Card with Bookmark

Hello My Dear Crafty and Stamper Friends:

How to use your winter or Christmas dies/stamps
 for other occasions?

In this sample card I use a snowflake die as a fall background
and made a bookmark matching the card.

Pin it:

I love to re-purpose things and stretching my stamps or dies can fall into this category...
by just changing the colors and using the die in a slightly way, using it as a background...I manage to strech my Chritsmas die and give it a longer use...
Don't you think,  that is does not look at all Chritsmas?

How I did it?

I choose 3 main colors: yellow; brown and blue
sponged each snowflake in the softer shade of a color and then sponge with a darker hue the same snowflake on the center.
Repeat the same process on each one of the snowflakes, just notice that the sides have a same continuity  in the colors and in the center I changed the colors...

This die is a Poppystamps border die from the holiday 2014 release...and I am sure I will use it again this time in a Christmas card :)...
the shape of this border die is perfect to put it in a bookmark...and you will have a nice Fall combo gift to send to a friend!!!

Let me know, what die or stamp
have you used in a different way
as originally intended to be used ...

Thanks for the visit
and hope I brought you another point of view ...
