Multi-color Embossing - Lavinia Challenge #3, add a Gem

Hello My dear Stamper Friends and Lavinia Fans:

As usual, on every 2nd of the month, The "Lavinia DT", we gather to make some samples for the monthly challenge and give you some inspiration through our creations and entice you to participate in this challenge: the theme for this month is "Add Gems" and  the winner will take £40.00 to spend at the "Lavinia" Online Store...

For my take for this month I use the Fairy "Sky"

The technique used in this card is
how to emboss using different colored embossing  powders...
"Multi-color Embossing"

First, use this "sophisticated" DIY tool (straw cut in a slant)
pick up with this "tool" some embossing powder (blue) and pour over the section that you want (bird)
Put back any powder on the jar...

NOTE: make sure NOT to touch any other area that has "Versamark' ink,

Add green embossing powder....put it back on the jar...

Then, choose a third color of embossing powder and repeat...
Cover the whole image following these steps...
Finally heat emboss the entire image with a heat gun.

The colors of embossing powder that I used were blue, green, platinum and gold...

And of course I had to add gems..lost of them...since the theme for this month was the incorporation of gems...

The tree was embossed with an embossing folder and the card was colored with pearlescent chalks/pastels.

I used a "Memory Box" die for the leaves that were colored a tiny bit with a "Copic" marker to give them a shadow effect...

At the bottom, I added some grass using "Flower soft"

Card for Any Occasion with Some "Quilling"!

Hello My Dear Stamper Friends:
Today I  am bringing to you a card for Any Occasion made with some "Quilling", that I posted at my Spanish blog for Memory Box....

This is my very first attempt to use the technique of "Quilling" in one of my cards ...
I have always being attracted to this form of art, but I had never done it before...my sample is very simple and basic

for the flowers I used the "Hydrangea Blooms" from Poppystamps...

QUILLING: If you would like to see more intricate designs and know a little bit more about this form of Art, visit this Pinterest board that I have with awesome cards made by many other crafters...

I cut several strips of paper for the "quilling";  die cut 3 branches ( glue them together for sturdiness) and several flowers

I used "seedless preserves" and "antique linen"  inks with my stencil, the brown inks were used on the branch to distress it...
I place some "flower soft" at the bottom of the branch for the grass
and here it is the Quilling tool that I used to roll the strips of paper...

A bird's eye view ...

and a last photo...

As always, Thank You for the company
for the lovely comments
and see you soon...for another project!
