Egg Easter Melon Cards...

Hello Dear Friends:
A little behind my posts...
These cards were featured at the Spanish Blog: "A crear se dijo!"  for Memory Box for Easter....
I used as a center focal point the same die (the egg) but look how different they look ...

This first one uses the Inlay technique

and the melon color against the white is quite pretty...
I inverted the die (see supplies below) and I place it on the top as falling leaves...

Felt Eggs...

Hello Dear blogger friends:

Happy Palm Sunday...
Celebrating the start of Holy Week
and the triumphal entrance of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem...
Days before his death and resurrection...
_____________ 0 ____________

For today's projects I bring you some Felt Eggs...
right on time for Easter week...
all made with the same Memory Box "egg" die ... decorated slightly different ...

group of Felt eggs

For this first set of eggs, I glued the intricate Flourish egg die of the front with "Fabri-tac".

The blue/purple one has tiny flowers on the front
and the lilac/peach one has the extra bunny

group of 2 Felt eggs

When using "intricate" dies as this flourish egg one, I used a higher quality of felt to make sharp cuts and use wax paper too
Then I used glue to adhere it to the front bigger egg

sometimes I cut with scissors if the die cut is not a clean cut...this happens if your felt is from a lower quality...

The main base "egg" die comes with this cute little pocket to insert some goodies to give on Easter day!...

Easter Egg Iris Folding Simplified

Hello my dear stamper Friends:
I hope you had an excellent Easter week...

I posted this card at the French blog: "Un brin de créativité"  for Memory Box for Easter and it features a version of a  "simplified Iris Folding" technique!

egg Iris folding simplified

"Iris Folding" is supposed to use folded colored stripes of paper to form a design.
The center forms an "Iris".

egg Iris folding simplified detail

In my simplified version, I used ribbon instead of cutting and folding paper and the design is filled with diagonal lines instead of going around...no need to use a pattern with this simple way...

I score some lines, added some liquid pearls and a flower...

I hope you will give it a try in case "Iris folding" is too intimidating for you or do not have the time to invest in this beautiful technique.

Easter is Here!

Happy Easter!
Joyeuses Pâques!
¡Feliz Domingo de Resurrección!

To commemorate this joyful event, the Celebration of Life, The Resurrection of Christ..
I am bringing to you this card with the symbolic "Easter Egg" cracked in half and The "Easter Rabbit"...

SYMBOLISMS:
1- The "Easter Egg" symbolizes LIFE.
The hard shell symbolizes the sealed tomb of Chris.
and the Cracking, his resurrection from the dead.
For all Christians is a reminder that Jesus rose from the grave, as a bird hatches from it with life.

my "hatched"/"cracked" egg bringing new flowers and leaves...

2-  "The Easter Bunny", the legend of hares bringing eggs on Easter time originated in Germany and it represents FERTILITY...The rabbits spread to humans the message, of the resurrection by giving eggs and letting them know that we have to live happily.

Here it is a close up of the flowers...inked with inks and the rabbit was glittered

Today, marks the beginning of a special time: (50 day period) called Easter Season...

No matter what religion you are
my message to you for today is...

Smile, today is a joyful day,  search, like when children are searching for their eggs to fill their baskets, in your life for your blessings, be thankful and live happily!!!
The true meaning of Easter is the celebration of LIFE!!!
