Spirelli card

Hello Dear Crafty Friends:
Today I am bringing to you this card made with the The "Spirelli" technique.
I have always being intrigued by this technique and searching through the internet I found several places to start learning this String Art

I have compiled several cards and tutorials at my Pinterest Board on "Spirelli" cards in case you want to check them out and see all the wonderful things that you can do with this form of art.

Basically what you need is any king of punched pieced or die cut that has some notches (preferably ovals and circles).
I used a "retired" die from Memory Box called "Loom Circle".
You write numbers (1- 2- 3- etc)  on each of the notches.
Start by placing some string at  point (#1) of your die cut, scotched from the back, count how many points you want to skip, ( I think I skiped 4 or 5 notches (# 4) wrap the thread between the points. From the back, cross the threads and start on #2 thread, count 4 notches (# 6) and repeat until you complete the whole shape.\

The butterfly was colored with "Prismacolor" pencils

At "Splitcoaststampers", Beate did a great video on the "how to" under their resources. But you can see the video as well from my Pinterest Board.

Ok I will be doing more of these type of cards, I love the effect and it is not as difficult as it seems. I hope you check out my Pinterest board with all the samples and blogs to visit to learn how to make Spirelli Art.

Thanks for the visit!
