Gothic Invitation for Halloween

Hello Dear Stamper Friends:
Black and White is the trend, nowadays...so I wanted to make a card using this color combo and this is what I came up with...a "Gothic Invitation for Halloween"!

When I have an idea, I never know what my end result is going to be...I knew I had to use this color combo: "Black and White" , and I knew that I wanted something for Halloween..then the idea of the flower came and because it resulted in an over sized flower for the card I decided to make it as the focal point and this along with the background die the "Spooky Frame Set" made up my mind in calling it "Gothic"...although I baptized it as an invitation actually this card can be used for any occasion, a birthday card, a hello one ...

Steps for the "Carnation" flower Tutorial:

step 1:
-die cut 6 petals from the "Peony" die  (the edges of this die are perfect to create the "Carnation" look)
- distress all the petals both sides using the ink of your choice with a finger dauber (this too is important to achieve this shaded look), sponge from the center going outwards towards the edges...

step 2;
crumple all the petals, the more you do it the better and if you mist the paper lightly with some water it is better as the paper will be more wrinkly...

step 3:
open all the petals and attach them together with a black brad in the center

step 4:
bring  each petal towards the center crumpling them again  towards the middle

and here you have it a "Carnation"
made out from a "Peony" die, who knew!

I hope you have enjoy this post as much as I did making the card...

 Thanks for your visit as always and keep in touch my friends...
