Happy Thanksgiving to all my fellow friends from Canada!
Actually I was not aware of the date, until my dear friend from Canada Dianne M. at "Magpiedi-Magpiedi" reminded me and right away I said to myself I have to make a card for all of YOU Canadians! eh! :)
I am so Grateful to have met some of you and count you now that I have this blog as my friends... so here it is this card send to you via my blog to wish you a very happy Thanksgiving day!
I had the priviledge to visit a few times some parts of Canada (French and English sides) and I LOVED it, I would of like to live there if it wasn't for the winter, I an not a "snow" girl at all :) and as for the people that I met, to me, they have this mix of the anglo saxon discipline mix with the more flexible passionate character...I think that I have not met yet a Canadian that I do not like...
Historic Note: Thanksgiving Day (Canadian French: Jour de l'Action de grâce), occurring on the second Monday in October, is an annual Canadian holiday which celebrates the harvest and other blessings of the past year....While the actual Thanksgiving holiday is on a Monday, Canadians may gather for their Thanksgiving feast on any day during the long weekend and is also often a time for weekend getaways.Thanksgiving day is similar to the one in United States, with traditions such as parades, football and eating turkey with all the trimmings" [resource: Wikipedia]
I hope that you find this card to your liking...it is my "version" of the original "triangle tri-fold" Card...
the original one is made out of 3 squares and when you open it keeps the whole squares for the flaps, I decided to get rid of them and cut them so I have triangles as flaps and not squares like the original fold....
as for the main stamped image I scored the lines with my scoring tool in a diagonal way and then I stamped on that surface and sponge a little bit the center... I used as well a copper and shiny cardstock...and I got those fall picks at Michael's for the silk flowers that I folded in half...
Ok my friends, thanks for visiting me today and I will be here very soon to show you a very fun technique and that it seems everybody is using now...
Want to know what is it?
Come by soon to find out what I am talking about...:)
Supplies: stamps used from "Papertrey Ink", paper "SU", "Spellbinders" scalloped oval...
Absolutely gorgeous card xx
