Poppy ... Acetate Card with Clear Envelope

Hello Dear Stamper Friends:
I LOVE acetate and this is the card that I am presenting to you today!
I featured this card at Memory Box "Outside The Box" English blog...as part of the new Release Spring Collection 2013... for our Blitz Week and Challenge "use ONLY stamps"...

For a long time I did not understand the expression:  "Blitz week" ...so for the people out there like me that do not know what is a "blitz week" is first, of all I believe,  a military word which means: [A heavy aerial bombardment] and for the craft world is used to describe an intense campaign held for a period of time, usually for a week, where you, the readers will be "bombarded" with card ideas using the new products that one specific company wants to showcase, people comment and usually they will be rewarded with prizes ... or other things depending on how that specific company is setting up their "Blitz week"

Last week, here in my blog I shared with you, my ideas on how to decorate and make envelopes... if you missed this, scroll down to see my posts on this subject...
So today, I want to continue with this same subject, that sometimes is so neglected in our card posts...

If you liked this photo click on "Pin It" Button:
and share it on your Pinterest boards
For this acetate card I use a Clear Envelope and I simply added "ric rac" ribbon to the sides to embellish it and match it with the card...
Here it is a look when the card is tuck inside

I used new and old stamps from Memory Box...I am so happy that now, we, stampers have the option of cling...which come in  the new Spring Collection: the Poppy is called "Luminous Stamp". The sentiment is so perfect for the occasion: "April showers BRING MAY FLOWERS" and it comes with a tiny flower stamp ( that I did not use) on the side for the wood mount and separate for the cling...so you end up with 2 stamps for the price of one..nice Huh?
you can see on the photo the tiny stamp on the side of the wood stamp...

NOTE: When stamping on acetate is important that you use "Stazon" ink and try to lift upwards your stamp without moving it, the surface is very slippery. My stamping was not perfect but I liked the look of "imperfection"...this tells you that it was "Handmade"

I embellished the front with some rhinestones that I glued with "Glossy Accents", my first choice of adhesive when using acetate and embellishments...and the "Vintage Scroll" stamp is a must have stamp ...I used it quite often in my cards for accents and backgrounds...

I heat emboss the "Luminous Poppies" with white embossing powder on the inside, for a "shadow effect", on this lovely "Distressed Dots Pool" patterned cardstock also from Memory Box...and sponged the flowers and the edges with some ink...

You can find all these new stamps now,  online and at your local craft stores...

And be sure to check tomorrow  my French blog : "Un Brin de Créativité",  I will have another acetate card using the same stamp but with a different look...to show you how versatile and elegant can be this Poppy Stamp...
Continue to visit as well,  all week long the English blog "Outside the Box" for chances to win one of the new stamps and see what all the other DTM at Memory Box came up with!
