I featured this Poppy Acetate card at my French Blog: "Un Brin de Créativité" showcasing the New Spring Collection 2013 release of Memory Box stamps and dies...
and I gave it to my husband for our wedding anniversary...

I am saying "another" because in my last post, I showed to you this OTHER card featuring the same Poppy stamp in acetate but with a totally different look...that I made for the DTM Memory Box challenge "use only stamps" for the new spring release of stamps and dies ....
I used a vellum envelope...I have being focusing in the envelopes in my last few posts...and this one is another idea...if you are giving this card in person to someone...You can still pick trough and guess what is the special gift that you are giving...

-Steps for the weaving of the ribbon...
I first made myself a template from recycle packaging see another post HERE on other ideas for recycled clear packaging paper ...
that I can use later, ...
just trace with a "Sharpie" where you want the holes and punch them.
I scotched the template on the acetate card and then punch the holes with my "crop-a dile"
I then weaved the ribbon with the help of a needle
TIP: I use a travel case for tooth brushes for storing my needles ...
as for the stamping...
I sponged really well a piece of white cardstock with blue distress ink
I then mist directly the stamp with a glimmer mist then I stamped on the inked background... nice technique to add depth and stamp more on the top adding layers to your background..
And lastly, I heat emboss with Gold embossing powder the poppies as well as the sentiment
Here it is a last look of the card...

ReplyDeleteBibiana, this is beautiful. I love the gold embossed poppies on the dark blue. I love the acetate again and the ribbon just ties it together.
Thanks to you telling us about the MB blog this week, I won a stamp. I was shocked when I got the email yesterday so thank you for letting me know about the giveaways this week :).
What a beautiful card Bibiana, the colors and acetate are wonderful.
