Wood "Bella Bunny" painted with DecoArt

Hello My dear Friends:

Some of you may remember that I mentioned a few months back, that my new adventure is now painting with Acrylics...
Well this is another project that I made.

I painted this cute bunny in wood with my "DecoArt" Americana acrylic paints and made a matching basket in felt using various dies.
Although I made this set for me, this could be a cute gift idea for Spring, Easter or even Mother's day...

Designed by Jamie Mills Price
The design of the Rabbit, "Bella Bunny", is from Jamie Mills Price.
She sells at her website "Between the vines"

You can purchased it, it comes with the raw wood and all the step by step on how to make this soft Rabbit.
She has tons and tons of pattern packets ready to purchase and be painted by you.
And she uses mainly "DecoArt-Americana acrylic paints", which I really like since these are the paints that I have.

I will only show you how it looked before all the intricate and detailed paintings on each patchwork pieces were added...

and Here...she is taken more shape...
See the post on how I made my easel

A closer look at each section of the rabbit
his head...has plenty of flowers and the big blue bow is just gorgeous!

Look at each section, many details and scenes going on...

At the bottom I added some moss, this is just an add on that I made to the original design
and added to the set the felt basket!

On the instructions, the back of the rabbit is painted one color, but in class we decided to make as well the patchwork pieces as well to continue with her outfit...

the back of her head

The tail picking out was another clever idea from one of my painting classmates!

The basket is from a die from "Stampin'Up!" and the flower is a die from Memory Box made in paper.
it is decorated with some ribbon and wool cord at the bottom

A close up of the flower

It took us several days to finish her but look how pretty she turned  out

If you like "Decorative painting" Jamie Mills Price has awesome patterns and designs with step by step for you to make...and with the surface too!
I will be showing you some more projects in the days ahead, so stay tuned...

Thanks for the visit
and  have a wonderful day!

SUPPLIES

  11. Thud. Sorry, I just fell out of my chair. OMGosh this is a terrific bunny. I love how well you painted it. I spent 20 years painting but sadly gave it up when I moved from the east coast to southern Ontario (Canada) because it's not a popular thing to do here. I miss painting so much. I can't stop starring at this beautiful piece!!
