the 4th candle, the pink one "the Candle of Joy", is lit on the 4th Sunday of advent with the the other three. It is the Angel's candle. As we light this candle, We are remindedof the heavenly hots that proclaimed Christ's arrival with
"behold, I bring unto you good tiding of great joy!"
The Angel candle is also purple, reminding us that it was a King's birth the angels were announcing.
The
angel Gabriel said to Mary,
"Do not fear, Mary, you shall conceive and
bear a son and give him the name Jesus.
Great will be his dignity and
he will be called Son of the Most High..."

Beautiful.....
ReplyDeleteBibiana, just popped by to wish you a huge Merry Christmas, and say thanks for your recent visit & nice words on the grand dogs. These guys/girls are indeed very fortunate to have our daughter to love them, as they are cared for & loved, more than some children we know. She's definitely an animal lover (her Dad is, but can't say I am! Don't want to see them mistreated and if you have them, in my opinion you have a deep responsibility of care & affection for them as well.) Just saw the nice compliment Irish Cherokee gave you as well as the beautiful card he shared from you. I'm so happy he provided the link to your wonderful blog where I can enjoy such gorgeous work. I'm loving the card you shared today, with the magnificent candles. Enjoyed reading the Christmas story yet again. What a miracle & blessed gift we were given, yes? Hard to believe there are folks who celebrate the holiday, but yet not the true meaning. Enjoy your blog sabbatical, and Merry Christmas. Hope that 2015 will be all that you wish it to be, TFS & Hugs too.
ReplyDeleteHey Mary: thanks for giving more info on your daughters dogs, I thought they were yours!!! always enjoy reading your lovely and long comments! thanks for taking the time!
