Flower with the Inlay and Rubbing Alcohol Background Techniques

Hello My friends:

For this card posted at the French blog for Memory Box: "Un brin de créativité"....
I used the "Inlay technique" and for the background a technique using Rubbing Alcohol...

inlay technique front card

For the INLAY:
...is Where you insert small pieces back into a base of different color...

for this I die cut twice the "English rose bouquet" die, one in green paper and a second one in yellow paper.

I took the green flower as my base and I insert the small yellow petal pieces back into the green flower...it takes some patience but it is not too bad...it is a relaxing practice as you have to take your time and  go slow....

as for the background:
I used the technique by "Wendy Vechi" using her re-inkers and rubbing alcohol over "specialty stamping"  paper from "Ranger"...

Place few drops of ink on craft mat, add alcohol, mix and place over the paper...
let the paper soak this mixture. Lift and move around paper to have more "marble" effect...

NOTE: important to use only that kind of paper...this one is very smooth and the technique works better on "specialty stamping paper" !!!

Ok my friends...
I hope you are having a wonderful start of the week....
until next time....
many hugs....
