Asian Card

Hello My Dear Crafty Friends:

When I saw, this "Bamboo Shoots" die from Memory Box I knew that my card had to had an Asian flair...

I had envisioned something very specific, but when I am doing, things turn out in a different direction...I am sure this has happened to some of you!!!...right?
I did not know but it is if like my creativity takes me someplace else...I think/visualize something but then I create something different!!! crazy !!...nonetheless,  I am pleased with the result.

For the background, I used a technique that I learned from Wendi Vecchi, using the ink from the  re-inkers from her line of "Archival Inks"...

1- place some drops of ink on the craft mat
2- place one or two drops of alcohol
3- mix it with the plastic spatula
4- "pick up" mixture from the mat with the paper (placing paper down and then lifting).
Note: I used "specialty paper from Ranger", as she recommends for this technique. It is real smooth  and great for stamping. I recommend it too!

I added some paper lanterns cut from gold paper and add some metal embelishments.

 View from the side.

UPDATE
I am very please to share with you ALL my NEW section of "STENCIL TUTORIALS" (side bar)...
I updated and organized this section and I was so happy with the result! I made it with the "Inlinkz/linkup" tool!

I am amazed as well to see how many techniques I gathered in such a  short period of time, 20!!!
I have to admit that I am proud of it but more satisfied I am to know that I can share this with all of you.
I hope this section can be of some inspiration for you, that you can come and visit, take a look and make it a place for reference for your creativity as well...
that is why I made it...
I want to share what I know with you all and I feel so happy being able to help!!!
So take a look and let me know your thoughts!!!

Thank you for your company,
keep in touch and keep on crafting!
