Today I would like to share another of the many techniques that you can use with your stencils...
it is: stenciling with Embossing Powders
below you can see the supplies that you will need...
below you can see the supplies that you will need...
This is technique # 2...that I included in the "Butterfly Swatch book" that I shared with you as well a few days ago...
I made this Swatch book to display the stencil techniques, that I know so far and I am sure I will be adding some more in the future....
Click on the link to see "Technique # 1: stenciling with inks" in case you missed it
Step by Step....
Technique # 2: Stenciling with Embossing Powders...
1-1st Secure the card and stencil: Adhere your card/paper to the table, (with removable tape) then attach the stencil with removable tape as well to the card ...to prevent the stencil and the card to move from its place.
2-pounce The "Versamark" ink directly from the pad (or with a sponge) on top of the stencil
Note: use a "Versamark" pen for intricate or small designs like the "Rings and Puddles" stencil (from Memory Box) see my sample. This pen is great for stencils with words
Clarification: the pad or the sponge did NOT worked very well with small openings on some stencils, the tip of the "Versamark" pen was very handy in this situation...
3- Lift stencil
4- pour embossing powder and embossed it with a heat gun
here are the results of stenciling with embossing powders...
left: "Rings and Puddles" stencil made using the versamark pen and silver embossing powder
right: "Tessatina" stencil made with the pad directly and gold embossing powder
Remember to write the steps of your technique on the back of you swatch wing..
I used this technique in this card...for the Chinese New Year
Ok my dear Friends, as always thank you very much for your visit...
I hope you will give it a try to this super easy technique...
Update:
