Guest Tutorial Designer and Writer at Splitcoaststampers! with my Carousel Storyteller Book

Hello My Dear Stamper Friends:
I am  very happy to share with you that I am  Again a Guest Tutorial Writer  at SCS! (Splitcoaststampers)

I prepared this Tutorial on How to make this "Carousel Storyteller" book that I created...

It is a "Storyteller" because on each of the 7 panels you can view a Christmas scene on a different setting...Christmas at home; Christmas in the garden; Christmas in the woods; Christmas in the countryside; Christmas in the Arctic; Christmas in the park and Christmas in the city...

I took the idea from my Triangular Diorama card / tutorial that I featured back in July See post Here...I placed several Triangular Dioramas next to each other, I adapted my initial idea, added more layers to make it look  like a "Carousel" and this is what I came up with...

This is how it looks closed...

View closed from the back...

BONUS

I made a card that matches the "Carousel"...
It closes on the side, this is the front of the card...

 When it opens.....

It reveals this scene;
A "Christmas in the woods" ...scene taken from one of the panels from the Carousel...

For the new visitors...
WELCOME, to my blog! My name is Bibiana, and I love to make specially cards and sometimes other craft related items such as the one that I am presenting to you today.....
Here, you will find lots of projects using various stamp/dies companies.
I featured  here all my creations made for the Design Teams that I belong to (Memory Box, Lost Coast Designs and Lavinia Stamps).
Besides my posts in this blog, which is my personal one,  I am in charge of 2 other blogs for Memory Box, that are written in Spanish and in French...and from time to time I am a Guest Tutorial at SCS. This one is my 3rd one this year...
When I am not teaching (languages) I find myself teaching as well  card making at my local craft store ...
I am from South America, but grew up and lived in other foreign countries and end up here In California, where I discovered my true passion which is this one: expressing my creativity with all of you...through my cards. I adore my 3 blogs and I have made many wonderful friends along..
I hope you will find your first visit today here a pleasant one, browse around,  and I wish that  you can find one or two new ideas for your own inspiration.
if you like what you see then come back to visit me again ...

  19. I loved the idea so much that I ordered the Frostyville frame. One question, though: did you hand trace/cut the opening for that frame? Wonderful presentation, found you through Splitcoaststampers as well. Merry Christmas to you!

  20. Dear Bibiana, thank you so much for your kind comments on my blog! I have since then finished my own carousel card and just posted it on my blog, credits to you. I had a lot of fun making it but also wanted to get it done for Christmas to give to my husband. He loves it so much that he will take it with him to the office tomorrow for all to see.
Because I didn't have the smaller background frame, only the one that goes with the Frostyville frame, I was faced with a slight problem. The frame had no place to glue on, so I cut clear acetate panels and adhered them to the back of the green front panel. That actually gives the dainty Frostyville cutwork more stabiltiy but also adds a bit more bulk to the card, so I had to make the spine thicker as well. The finished carousel came out nice, I am very pleased with it. Now I will have to go searching for more mirror card stock!...
