The butterfly "Dream Butterfly" is from "Poppystamps" die collection...
for The light blue butterfly: I cut the extra wings to make it smaller and place it on top of the dark blue one
the solid background is cut with scissors roughly after tracing the die silhouette on blue paper

the stems are taken from seaweed dies

Holy Week: Beautiful Garden

The Butterfly was sponged with various distress inks

clean and simple ,("CAS"), look using brown shimmery paper and parchment for the flowers...

Modern Masculine Cards

Hello My dear stamper friends:

I have 2 cards using Memory Box and Poppystamps dies.
Both of these cards are simple, modern and for MEN!!!

and I featured them 

at the Spanish and French blogs 

for Memory Box

I used again the "pipes" die from Memory Box.
In my last post I shared a "Steampunk card" featuring this die, but I wanted to use it a different way so this time I used it in a background not a focal point!...
and this is how I came to make this card..

added some hummingbirds and the word "YOU" from the "Open studio" line of dies from Memory Box.

The second card is made with a mix of dies from the "Open Studio" line, the regular Memory Box dies and finally the Hexagon die is from Poppystamps.

I believe the colors and that hexagon die make it perfect for masculine cards, simple modern and not too fussy for the BOYS!
