How to make "Denim" paper backgrounds

Hello dear Stamper Friends:

One of the trends lately here in the USA is using "denim" and making almost everything out of "denim": all sorts of embellishments: such as flowers, stickers, papers, paints etc....

So I decided to make a quick tutorial on
how to make "denim" paper...

Denim card front

This card was posted at the french blog: "Un brin de créativité" for Memory Box"

step 1:
on a blue paper
Rub the ink pad directly against the paper with vertical motions
then turn the paper and add ink on the other way...to create streaks

step 2:
with a large bristle brush add white paint here and there (this is to add more lines)
(you can use stipple brushes)
I added acrylic shimmering white paint from "Tsukineko"

step 3:
here is the result..."denim" card stock
die cut your pieces, sort your embellishments and assemble the card
I even used a small piece of "real" denim fabric!

History note:
The word "Denim" comes from French.
The fabric comes originally from the town Of Nîmes, in France...
So phonetically in English it is pronounced [De-NIM] OF or FROM Nîmes!
How funny isn't it !!!

NOTE:
I used the stylus to add (on the reverse of the sea horse) some lines, which are present on the right side of the die cut but NOT on the reverse...

This card is  perfect for any occasion for a male recipient...
Hope you enjoy this quick tutorial...

Thanks for the visit and hope to see you soon...
