Want a fun and easy activity
to make with your children
this summer break?...
Make some Paper Dolls!..
for the "Day of the Dead"
"Día de los Muertos"!
You can find printed jointed dolls over the internet....just search for paper dolls....
This is something that you can do with your kids...
if you do not celebrated Day of the Dead, you can substitute the "Catrina" (name of this particular skull and very traditional for Day of the Dead in Mexico) for another paper doll...
Stamp on a piece of card board paper the "Catrina"
Color it...
I used my "Copic Markers" but you can use any other marker or color pencil...
and remember you can color the "paintable" flowers from "Petaloo" too
cut it
and assemble it...
*Note: the waist and the skirt are connected with a brad to make the doll move...
embellish it with some "Petaloo" flowers, ribbon and glitter...
Make sure to back up all the pieces with carboard this will make the doll more sturdy and if you desire glue to the skirt a "coffee" wood stick stir to hold it on your hand...
Hope this gives you some ideas...
keep cool and fresh
and see you for another craft project
