Settle in back little by little from my trip to Atlanta, Georgia...
I hope you to got to see the pics of all the NEW craft products coming in at my newly opened Instagram site...
If not... just scroll down one post...
But, Here we are for our monthly gathering for Lavinia's Challenge # 8 - add some glitter!
For this month challenge, I decided on top of the glitter to make this Fun ATC in a Triptych way...
Using 3 main darling stamps from Lavinia's whimsical world...
Each one of the main images were stamped with "the essential glue pad" (glue to use for stamping and then adhering the glitter)
I poured some gold glitter over the star gazing fairy couple, letting it dry before taking off the excess glitter...
Stamp some foliage and stars to finish the scene.
All 3 ATC were matted over glitter paper .
I added a Memory Box die for the frame on the back, a tiny bird and some other stamped images
The fairy Melodie silhouette was stamped with pink glitter and I added some liquid pearls, and stickles..
Here it is a second sample for your inspiration...
Very different style! more "vintage" looking
1st technique:
The background was made by inking an embossing folder with a brayer then placing a paper inside the folder and then running the folder through the embossing machine (I used my "Cuttlebug").
You will get a 2 tone embossed paper.
the 2nd technique:
used in this card is the "shadow" effect ;
by stamping once the image 1st in dark ink
a second time using your stamp positioner with the image a little bit off to create that shadow with "Versamark" ink, then pour some glittered embossing powder.
and finally adding a shadow all around the image for more definition with a chalk tool applicator..
Detail of the shadows around the image and the glitter...
I hope you can join us at Lavinia's blog and make your creation using Lavinia's stamps and entering for a chance to win £40.00 to spend at Lavinia's Site...you can enter your submissions by e-mail too.
Good luck and remember to stop by my fellow DT friends to see what they have created too!, the samples are just all so gorgeous...I am lucky to share my work with such a group of talented and very nice girls!!!
Thanks for the visit and see you soon for another project!!!

Oh my these are all soo beautiful. I too am a big lover of glitter and fairies, but still not as big as my granddaughter at 7, she can get all ecstatic, when she gets her hands on such an image and a bottle of glitter ha ha ha, so glad, she don´t see this, or we would all be covered in glitter within the next 5 minutes ha ha ha.
ReplyDeleteHAve a wonderful week ahead now and thanks sooo much for all your great inspiration always.
