the WINNER is PK Sews
CONGRATS!!!!
My project of today is featuring 2 main stamps from "Lost Coast Designs" and 2 stencils from "Stencil Girl" (supplies listed below)
This piece has lots of textures, dimension and color....
Description:
- I first painted The Background with "Luminarte/Silks Paints", which are acrylic glazed paints in green, blue and pink with regular paint brushes. I really like the vibrant color and the mixing/transparency that you can achieve when using these paints. They are really easy to use and very smooth...
- Then, I stenciled The Palm Tree with "Golden" Glass Beads Gel, applied with a palette knife and when dry I dabbed the leaves with "Viva: Inka Gold Metallic Rub" in silver, another great product..the shine that you get with these pastes are awesome....
- I added bigger glass beads (gem floral fillers) glued to the center with "glossy accents" to mimic some Coconuts...
- The Stencil Bricks were sponged with "Viva: Inka Gold Metallic Rub" with make-up cosmetic sponges. See below the metallic finish ...I like these pastes very much because you can use them by sponging them to almost any surface and the metallic finish is very pretty!
- The Stamp Girl was embossed with Black embossing powder and The Gate was stamped with "Black Archival ink".
- The Swirl on the bottom right corner is another tree taken from one of the stencils and sponged with "Viva: Inka Gold Metallic Rub" in silver with cosmetic sponges.
- The Leaves on the edges were taken form the palm tree and stenciled with "Luminarte/Silks Paints" in green with stiff stencil brushes.
- The Words were sponged with "Black Archival ink" with mini daubers.
- added some Flourishes with pearls.
- The Moss around the frame was glued with Hot glue gun to the piece after being inserted in place inside the frame without the glass.
