Lately I am in a "daze"...days are just flying and I do not know where September went and now we are in October!!! this is crazy...I feel like I am living in a dream where time is very confusing...summer was yesterday, today we are in autumn but all points to Thanksgiving and pretty soon Christmas!!!, I, really, am in a blurr!!!
Anyhow, today I manage to write in this blog and I am bringing to you a neat "trick" that you can use with your dies...this belongs to my series of "tip of the week" section...I have posted several tips and you can see them HERE, if you want to check them out...
But today's tip is all about resizing your dies ...
here it is the die in its original size but you can die cut these pots with this same die...so you are "shrinking" your die...
what happens when you have a die but you want the die cut smaller or bigger in size for your project? ...
in this case I "shrink", the Flower box to make it into a small pot
STEP 1:
I place 2 papers with scotch tape, (because I wanted 2 pots the same size)...offset to the left of the die like the photo shows... die cut...
STEP 2:
the result...
STEP 3:
take this and move the papers to the right, tape them to the plate (mine is magnetic, remember? that is why it looks black) and run it again through the machine...
STEP 4:
you will have this...2 small POTS from a die that was supposed to die cut a small flower box...
A while back I did the same in THIS POST, for a valentine's card, in case you want to see another sample... on how to resize or stretch your original dies!
You want to see the card that I made with these pots? go to my Spanish blog, " A crear se dijo!" where I am featuring "Poppystamps" dies , a division of "Memory Box"!
Ok my friends, hope you find this "tip of the week" helpful, thank you for the lovely visit and your comments are always so welcomed!
