You make a mistake... OH NO!!!
you place glue on your PAPER
where you are NOT supposed to do...
what to do? Do not panic!
Here today with this tip of the week we will solve it very quickly...
1- take excess glue with a paper or hands...whatever it is at your reach
2- THEN... Take your "embossing buddy", or "embossing magic bag", [the one that you use when heat embossing something to prevent the embossing powder from sticking on non desired places other than your intended stamped imaged with "Versamark" ink],
Rub it on the surface where you put the glue.
It will look all dusty...this will take away the tackiness
3- Then "erase" the glue from the paper with this "eraser" called "adhesive remover"
and voilà...your paper looks like new!
If you want to see more "Tips of the Week" click HERE or find them on the side bar under "Categories"
SUPPLIES:
NOTE: I got the "eraser" through the Stampin'Up catalog (if you do not have an SU demonstrator let me know and I can place an order for you, just e-mail me)
OR you can try using a "GUM" Prismacolor eraser found at Michael's or most Art Stores...
and you can use baby talk powder as well instead of the "embossing magic bag/buddy"
Thanks for visiting me today, I will be back soon for another post and keep on crafting! Hugs ...
Awesome tip !

ReplyDeleteBonjour Bibiana,
ReplyDeleteJ'ai le dégommeur (en français chez Stampin'up) depuis le début, je l'utilise souvent...c'est magique!!!
Par contre je n'utilise pas la poudre magique...je ferais un essai dès que possible.
Bonne et belle journée.
Bises.

What a marvelous tip! I often get glue on places it shouldn't go and I never thought of using this combination of tools to get it off. I know just the eraser won't quite do it. Thanks!!!

ReplyDeleteWonderful tip - not that I EVER make mistakes, my friend! Ha!
ReplyDeleteThank you for this tip. Ecause there is nothing less attractive on a piece, than glue around edges of the pieces I glued on! Now, this occasional flaw will disappear. I appreciate this tip very much. I am loving, going through your blog.
ReplyDeleteI've never tried this tip, I must remember it tho! I have that eraser! Thanks!
