Happy Valentine's Day!

Hello MY Dear Stamper Friends:

Happy Valentine's Day!

In spanish we greet people by saying: "Feliz día del Amor y de la Amistad" which translates in "Happy day for Love and Friendship"...

And I think is very appropriate to wish a happy day to your friends not only to your loved one...
so I made this card thinking in dear girls friends that I have...
I know some of you have already received this card!...:)
That heart is an embossing folder from "Sixxiz"

Here it is the inside ...the little hearts falling are the ones punched from the "Martha Stewart" heart border punch

I used several stamps, punches and the fuchia stripe of paper at the bottom comes from the punched "heart border punch", it is the left over....I use everything!!!

and do not forget the back
I love this set of clear stamps from "Hero Arts/creative bird"! It comes with several stamps for the back of your cards, see it on the supply list...
Once more combining several stamp companies and inks...

Sending you lots of love and friendship on this day!
Hugs

Happy Mother's day here in The USA!

Hello Dear Stamper Friends:

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY

if you liked this card click on "Pin It" button:

This post is going to be short, I was caught up with some other shores and I almost did not have time to post...but here I am..

I wish to all the mothers a wonderful day and a blessed one!

I wanted to share this card for today, as I love Tilda's from "Magnolia" stamps and I think they are so cute...there are some people that I know they said they do not like her because she does not have a "face"...anyways

I love her and I decided to make a Tri-Shutter card with her, added some punched butterflies from "Martha Stewart", stamped ferns and some "Stampin'Up!" flowers (retired set) colored with "Copics"...

The last  Tri-Shutter card that I made was for a new mom that you can see HERE just in case you missed it...

And this morning I received  this lovely Tulip arrangement all decorated with chocolates from my 2 girls...(my Siberian Huskies) :)  (you guessed who did it right?)
How adorable, huh!

hope you like the card and have a wonderful day,

"Habemus Papam"!...We have a Pope from Latinoamerica!

Hello Dear Stamper Friends:

This is a very impromptu and spontaneous post and not "GREEN" as promised......

If you liked this photo, click on "Pin It" button:

I was going to post this card for Easter BUT  today, MARCH 13,  with the special events for the Catholics and specially the Latin Americans ...I HAD  to post it TODAY...

I feel so happy and proud for having the first Pope from Latin America...like they say in Latin "Habemus Papam"!  Jorge Mario Bergoglio: Francisco...is now the 266 Pope...Right now all the Latin people are in a "Jubilous" tone!

Congratulations Argentina!, congratulations Latin America!  and in general the Catholic world!

Coming from South America I feel very excited..I have high hopes with this new Pope... and let's wish that he will bring modernity,  re-birth and cleansing  to the church...

This is a historic moment and I wanted to share it with you, no matter what is your religion or if you have one...I  strongly believe in the respect of all types of religions and beliefs, and I just wanted to share this card so appropriate for the magnitude of the historic moment!!!
And by coincidence  it has the colors of the Argentinian flag! white and blue...

Let's talk more about  the card and let's leave my euphoria on the side...

The shape of the card  is a Twisted Easel Card.

You can see MY TUTORIAL HERE for the regular/classic EASEL Card.

I posted the tutorial and the card at my Spanish Blog "A crear se Dijo" for Memory Box.
In here for today's post  I did a "twist", I  just  score the top panel in a diagonal instead of a strait line...and cut the excess from the flap...and you will have a "Twisted Easel Card"...
Remember you can use "Google Translate"...

The cross is made out of  a Weaving Ribbon Technique that I saw in this You tube video , that I have in my Pinterest gallery on My Stamping Techniques board...

I use some "Spellbinders" labels, flower punch from "Stampin 'Up!" and Martha Stewart,  background stamps from "Hero Arts"...and the sentiment is from "Papertrey Ink"...

Hope you liked it and Now I have to go and do something for Easter...AY AY!!!

A Valentine’s Shaped Card

Hello Dear Stamper Friends:

Today, I am sharing with you a Valentine’s card so that you can start having ideas for your cards.
Shaped cards are wonderful to display small scenes; they are like Dioramas, three-dimensional museum models without the glass…
This particular model is called a “Center Step Card”.

Suggestion of the day
“Do not put aside your “old stuff”… And mix and match!”

Most of the supplies used in this card are current items that you can find easily at any craft store.
But… As I mentioned in my “Quick and Easy Wintertime Post” (Jan. 9, 2013):
use what you like and have. It is wonderful to get new stuff, oh yes!
But do not forget as well all the items that you have being collecting over the years! You can easily substitute, some things that I use by the ones that you have and are “collecting” dust in your shelves!
The sentiment that I use is one that I found at a garage sale and so appropriate for the balloons: “love is in the air”. I believe is a retired stamp from “Lockhart Stamps”…most of the dies are from “My Favorite Things”, I use some “Spellbinders” and the punches are from “Martha Stewart” and “Stampin’Up!”…So mix and match!

Instructions:
click HERE  to get the PDF
(PDF found on toolbar, section "More" as well...)

  TipS:

1- Glue together several die cuts of the same image to give this 3D effect.
You can do it with many images, I did it with butterflies and it looks really nice…they pop from the card, giving it more interest.
For the balloon: I glued 7 hearts (one flap glue to the next flap) and it looked like the globe of the balloon,

2- Give to your punches other shapes: for the basket: I free hand cut it. But you can use a square punch and then trim diagonally (from one corner to the other) to give the shape of the basket.

3- Use the “negative” from your dies or punches: The mini hearts: are the “left overs” from the “Martha Stewart” edge punch.

4- Use different materials to give texture to the card: here I use felt for the clouds, but you can substitute it by using “Flocking”, one of those products that we have and tend to forget…so Get it out and use it!

Bye and …OH!...remember to decorate the back of your card too! as shown here...
