Today I would like to share with you this Fall card that I made using my "PanPastels"...and That I posted at my Spanish blog for Memory Box "A crear se dijo!"
I discovered these pastels at a class that I took a while ago when Nathalie Kalbch, who is a German Mixed Media Scrapbooker came to visit my area...
We did a canvas, used them with paints and other mediums and as soon as I used these pastels I fell in love!!!
"PanPastels" are soft pastels, simple to use and the best feature for me is the colors! they are just so vibrant...you can paint, draw, color and use them in mixed media! I really like them!
you can buy them individually or in sets, which I prefer...
They come in these little round clear plastic containers that you can stack or place in plastic palettes. I have the palettes, which allows me to have all the colors in one place and easy to spot them when I am using them! but I recommend as well that you buy extra lids, to keep them clean and close, even if they are in the trays I use the lids too...just to avoid color contaminations...
As for the tools they come with their specific sponges, see photo, which are VERY soft and spongy but if you do not want to invest now in the sponges you can use make up sponges or Q-tips...
If you are not familiar with them, I recommend that You visit the "PanPastels" official web page, browse their products and see some educational videos!
Steps:
1- I stamped my "Peonies background" stamp with "Pumice Ink" ; colored the flowers in 3 sections with 3 different colors.
2- First I took a small applicator sponge and colored one section with green, then a second section with another sponge in orange and finally the last area in Ochre
Note: I sprayed the colored images with a Fixative from "Krylon" to preserve the colors...
3- As for the background, I did used several stamps from Memory Box and I created my own design papers ..on the green paper with white ink I stamped the "washi tape stripes" and the "music" stamp with white ink on the pumice cardstock
Ok my friends I hope I brought you some info on these fun mediums, I am sure that when you will try them you will love them! I just ordered the metallic ones :)
Thanks for your visit and I will be with another fall card!
