Post 7: Christmas, Stretching your Dies

Getting Ready for Christmas

Hello My friends:
For the next Couple of days I will continue showing you some Christmas Cards that I have made using Memory Box dies...
I hope these samples will inspire you to start planning and making them from now to avoid the "Holiday Rush"...
So let's start...

Today's post is all about
"stretching" your dies
and thinking outside the box

I will use the same die in 2 very different ways
For this 1st card...I use the "Mighty Oak Die" as a tree...as it should be...

for the second card I used the same die and the same color combo
this time I used the "oak die" as a background/filling element...

I die cut 2 "oak trees" and placed them on each side of the card

The trees make me think as lightening ...
added some ribbons on the corners and some snowflakes...
sentiment on the center

So what do you think...clever isn't it?
So try to think outside the box and find new ways to use your dies, stretching as much as possible the possibilities of new ways to use a same die...
