Stencil Technique: Stenciling with Inks

Hello My dear Stamper Friends:
Today I would like to share ONE of the many techniques that you can use with your stencils...
This first one is probably the most common, easy and known one of the techniques...

it is:  stenciling with inks

I will call it technique # 1...since on a post that I did in regards how to make a "Butterfly Swatch books to display your stencil techniques" I mentioned that I have around 8 to 10 different techniques with stencils, so this one will be the # 1...

here are the steps....

Technique # 1: Stenciling with inks...
1-Adhere your card/paper to the table, then attach the stencil with removable tape to the card ...to prevent the stencil and the card to move from its place.
2- Load your dauber, sponge or stencil brush with regular ink, (distress inks,  dye inks  or pigments if to you want more vibrant colors)  this is up to you...
Note: I used "VersaColor", which is a pigment ink because I wanted to be more vibrant, have a more "TRUE" color and it was more "juicy" to use over the stencil...
3- finally, Pounce over the entire stencil or partial areas...
4-  lift to discover the design...

after stenciling, and letting it dry, I added a little extra to this technique by spraying some mist solution in bronze to give it a shimmer look....

NOTE: When using "Distress inks", remember that these inks will react to water, so after stenciling and then adding the Spray mist like I did as my last step , the design below will "run/react to the water", making in it in a unique look...
this could be done in a separate wing, just to have a sample of this and see the effect....and then later added to the swatch book...

and on the back on the Butterfly wing I wrote the steps...

This simple technique was used in selected areas of the cardstock in this set of cards...that I posted yesterday...

Ok my dear Friends, as always thank you very much for your visit and I hope you are doing OK
