We are almost at the end of the week of the STAMP Memory Box Blog Blitz and here it is a card that I posted at the Spanish blog "A crear se Dijo!" ...some of you came and visited me there for a chance to win this snowflake stamp...

For this card, I stamped several times with different "Hero Arts" color inks the NEW pine stamp from Memory Box on a piece of "Kraft" stock...
then I stamped, actually heat emboss with white ink the snowflakes stamp "snowflurry" on a piece of acetate.
REMINDER: use acetate specially made for heat embossing otherwise your plastic will burn or warp...so be careful...I use "JudyKins", embossable sheets and they are perfect for doing this...
very simple and easy...
Quick history:
My dear friend Catherine; from "Les Créas de Cath" asked me about Memory Box stamps...
Well Memory Box started 20 years ago with stamps, then some designer papers came into the line, (which they were goooorgeous!!!) they started selling some embellishments like rub-ons, pearls and matching card notes, then it came the wave for the craft steel dies and besides "Spellbinders" who were making a revolution with frames dies, they came right after with INTRICATE designs, so I believe if I am not mistaken they were the pioneers in Craft steel dies with really intricate designs, and then an explosion of other companies came along...
and finally this year, in 2014, they ventured with stencils...
so Stamps were the 1st product that they were producing and that is how I knew this company...
I still have my old dear scrolls, birds, leaves, trees so reminiscent of Memory Box style,
Does anybody remembers?...
I still have all of them and cherish them a lot, actually I missed all those old times, I wished MB would do more Stamps :)...
my first love with this industry were stamps and that is why the name of my blog :)...
But I guess companies have to move on...and bring new stuff!!!

It is sooo beautiful and I really like the effect of using the acetate for it. Somehow it makes it look more realistic and it´s just beautiful.

ReplyDeleteYes! I do remember his early stamps - I have known Dave since before he started making his own line of stamps, even before he was under the Rubber Moon label. I've got a huge selection of all his products and the dies are amazing - keep saying I wish he would slow down because I seem to NEED everything he puts out. :0) He is such a nice guy it is always a pleasure to run into him at any event... Glad you enjoy his work too because you always do such amazing things with his products!
