Celebrating "World Card Making Day"!

Hello Dear Stamper Friends:
Today (or every year on the first Saturday of the month of October)  we are celebrating "World Card Making Day!",  which is a holiday specially for card makers all over the world to celebrate the creativity of handmade cards and officially kick of  the Holiday card making season.
This holiday celebration  began in 2006 and was founded by the "Paper's crafts" magazine!

As a personal note I discovered card making on 2008, on this very same holiday, when I  stopped by my local craft store looking for some decorations for Halloween and that day they at the store they were having a "Free make and take" in celebration of this day and It all began for me on that day!!!!

So today all of us, card makers, manufacturers, retail sellers, educators and press are together in this holiday linked by this passion, celebrating "World Card Making Day"! [resources from "World card Making Day site].

If you leave me a comment under this post I will choose a winner and You will receive  this Autumn card in your mail box!

I featured this card at my Spanish Blog: "A crear se dijo!" for "Memory Box"...I used exclusively "Poppystamps" to make this card; in my next post I will talk a little bit more about this fun company...stay tuned!

The wreath was made by punching 2 circles (1" and 3/4") to make a ring from where I glued all these sprigs in autunm colors

The vine pots where shrinked...scroll down to see how I did it, post that I wrote for my  "Tip of the week"...

a last view...

Thanks for your visit and let me know if you plan to do something special today to celebrate "card making day"!

As for me:  I am writing this post, I will get ready this card to be mailed, I will create something today for sure and if I have enough time I will pop at my local craft store to see what they have for today!

  26. Bibiana-this is so beautiful. I think we are sisters at heart. I think you and I both have a thing for "dies"....lol When I first got into card making I was into paper piecing. So naturally I have gravitated towards die cutting because the paper piecing was my first love. You can really knock out some fabulous designs with your dies. Love it.

    Carol
